Practicing your multiplication skills

If you can't multiply you won't be able to divide, and since most math involves adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing, you'll have trouble with half the math problems you're supposed to answer.

Start by reviewing the times table. Print it if you want.

If you have trouble remembering a fact, such as 7x8 = 56, write it on a piece of paper that you can carry around and look at a few times a day. Or, write a poem, sing a song, paint a picture about it. Learn it in any way that works for you.

Then try Practice A. Take your time.

After you master Practice A, work on mastering Practice B.

Then the Extreme Practice. When you feel comfortable completing the Extreme Practice, you'll be an expert.

Practice A

Mentally multiply two numbers.

Practice B

Mentally determine the numbers that have been multiplied together.

EXTREME Practice

Use your knowledge of multiplication to mentally divide.

This practice requires not only recall, but thinking as well.
